Swim Across America - 2026
In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. With these staggering numbers, it is no surprise that many of us have been touched in some way by its impact. The Swim Across America community comes together for an annual fundraiser so that, together, we can make a change.
A two-mile open water swim will take place on October 4th in Lake Wylie beginning at Camp Thunderbird. Swimmers and volunteers of all ages and skill levels are invited to take part in the event. So, consider joining us in the swim or cheering us on from the shoreline.
Additionally, Swim Across America has a junior advisory board in major cities across the country driving youth support/awareness of their efforts, and they recently picked their inaugural Charlotte board of high school swimmers. There are swimmers on that board from all 4 of the country clubs in our League - and they are going to be working to raise money for Swim Across America.
If you are able, please lend your support by making a gift today. The researchers we are funding will support cancer research at Levine Cancer Institute and Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte. These researchers are the next generation of cancer pioneers. Without Swim Across America early-stage funding, they are not able to conduct trials that can lead to breakthroughs that can save lives.
