PRIOR TO THE MEET
- You'll receive an email from the Head Coach afternoon of each meet with the heat sheet (swimmer line up & lane assignments) and last minute details. *Print the heat sheet and bring it with you to the meet!
- 10 & under families especially...Please write your child's first and last name on the back of their shoulder. Also mark your child's hand, arm or leg with their event and heat #s and lane assignments so our volunteers can make sure they are where they need to be!
AT THE MEET
- Warm ups: The coaches will call the swimmers by age group to do a few laps to get used to the pool.
- Volunteers: Check in for your volunteer assignment when you arrive - there will be a desk near the entrance where you can sign in and pick up your name tag.
-Dress in our team colors (Blue, Red, and White) to show your PCC Piranha Team Spirit!
- Your child should sit with his/her age group so we can get them lined up for their events. Look for age group signs that will be posted at the meet. Each team has assigned seating on opposite sides of the pool.
- There will be volunteers to help line your kids up to race, but YOUR CHILDREN ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!
- Warm-ups will start at 5:30 pm and Swim Meets will start at 6:00 pm for all age groups.
- Once your child is done his/her events and you have completed your volunteer assignment, you are free to leave if you need to, or stay and cheer on your teammates!
RIBBONS
- Ribbons for 1st-4th place overall will be labeled and distributed typically by the Friday after the meet.
- Personal Best and Heat Winner ribbons will be awarded to all swimmers each time they swim a best time. New for 2026, Heat Winners will also earn a free ice cream from the PCC Turnhouse! Those earning an ice cream will have vouchers by the Saturday morning after the meet at the pool check in desk. Ribbons are available for swimmers to pick up by the next meet or Friday practice.
FOOD & DRINKS
- Every club provides an optional buffet dinner and bar, with charges billed to your PCC member account. The Club and Co-Chairs have taken feedback from previous seasons and worked closely with the PCC Food and Beverage Team to come up with family-pleasing menus for our Home meets this season!
WEATHER
- Unfortunately, summer weather often causes delays at the meets! Each thunder/lightening incidence will delay the meet for 30 minutes. Should we have inclement weather, we will do our best to keep everyone updated on the timeframe for warmups/meet start via Swimtopia app and appreciate your patience as the teams decide how best to proceed. Swimmer safety is the #1 priority! We can count the meet as official if we make it through event #36, 10&U boys 100IM.
- Officials will announce the final score at the completion of the meet.
- Coach Allie will send an email with final results following the meet.
