TUESDAY LEAGUE MEET - Everything you need to know...
Piranhas,
The last show-down of the season is here! We would love to see as much PCC representation at the pool tomorrow night as possible, so come cheer on your teammates!
Where: Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center -- 800 E M.L.K. Jr Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28202
When: Tuesday 6/18, doors open 5pm, warm ups start 5:30pm, meet starts at 6pm. Swimmers please aim to be there by 5:15!
Parking: There is a free lot at the aquatic center that will not hold everyone unless you get there pretty early. Additional free parking is available at Walton Plaza, located directly behind the aquatic center on E Stonewall St. We have been told the lot directly across from the front of the aquatic center will also be available.
Heat Sheets: Will not be sent tomorrow prior to the meet. Meet programs including lane assignments will be available at the door for $5. Bring your sharpies and mark your kids' events/lanes there before the meet starts. The meet psych sheet is attached so can see what everyone is swimming.
Warm Ups: PCC will be assigned to lanes 5 & 6. Be ready to jump in at 5:30 sharp. Seating: Along the close side of the pool when you walk in, assigned team seating in the following order, starting at the main blocks -- Charlotte, PCC, Carmel, Myers Park. So PCC will be across from the starter around mid-pool. There will be seating for the swimmers only on bleachers behind the starting blocks, so the coaches can keep everyone together there.
Volunteers: THANK YOU to these parents who have volunteered to fulfill our team's spots tomorrow night -- Medals: Jennifer Smith & Kristin Heidkamp Timers: Chris Smith, Philip Heidkamp, Michelle Gessner, & Sean Ryan.
PCC Spirit: We're changing up from our usual red, white & blue... Everyone please come dressed in NEON! We're going bright this year!! We will have some cheering and fun team items to hand out as well!
League Charity: PCC is in charge of our league charities this summer! A donation box will be available in the lobby to collect items for Freedom School Partners & the Benjamin Hagar Memorial Scholarship, see attached flyer.
PARTY!! Following the League Meet, we will have a pizza party at the PCC pool (starting around 8pm). ALL Piranhas are invited to come celebrate the end of a great season! The bar and pool will be open until 10pm.
Please make sure our swimmers get some good rest tonight and stay out of the heat tomorrow afternoon! (One last practice tonight 5-6pm for league meet swimmers only)
Any changes in meet attendance must be communicated ASAP to Coach Long, [email protected]
See you tomorrow!
Brooke
